Co-founders and directors Rob and James have been working together since 2018 and founded Portoptimo in 2022 with the mission of giving retail investors access to the same intelligent, high-power analysis that banks and hedge funds use.

Portoptimo is run by a small, experienced team of analysts with expertise in programming and systems management as well as econometrics and financial economics.

Innovation is central to our mission. Our flagship Hedgerow is the first API capable of conducting portfolio optimisation on a large scale for big, complex portfolios, but we’re not stopping here. The Portoptimo team is already working on the next thing – looking into creative new ways to help investors manage risk, understand patterns, and prepare for the future.
